HANDEL’S ICE CREAM NOW OPEN IN HAVERTOWN

HAVERTOWN, PA, UNITED STATES, October 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Handel’s Ice Cream, the beloved brand serving ice cream since 1945, continues to welcome the community at its newest Pennsylvania location in Havertown. Situated at 13 W. Benedict Avenue, the shop is owned and operated by local entrepreneurs Casey Buchanan and Haley Masciantonio.

Born and raised on the Main Line in Devon, Casey and Haley have spent the past 21 years working alongside each other in their family business, growing up in a large family where hard work, hospitality, and taking care of the people around them were simply part of who they are. With parents born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, visiting grandparents and cousins made stopping at Handel’s a cherished childhood tradition, giving them a connection to the brand long before becoming owners.

After 21 years of building a successful business together, they chose Havertown for this new venture, an area they have long appreciated through visiting their sister and brother-in-law, who are raising their four boys there.

“We are thrilled to be a part of Havertown and welcomed into a community that feels very familiar to us,” said Casey Buchanan, co-owner of Handel’s Havertown. “Our goal is to be more than just an ice cream shop, we want to be a place where families, friends, and neighbors can come together and create the same kind of memories that Handel’s has been for our family.”

Community involvement remains a core priority for the team, who have a long history of supporting the sports teams, clubs, and organizations that their employees and families are involved with, including bringing their antique truck, Homer, to weddings, graduations, birthdays, school events, and neighborhood gatherings. The Havertown shop actively collaborates with local organizations and groups to support the surrounding neighborhood.

“From the beginning, we wanted Handel’s to be more than just a shop,” said Haley Masciantonio, co-owner of Handel’s Havertown. “We wanted it to be a place where people can come together to celebrate both their wins and their losses and share important moments with one another. Community is the number one reason we do what we do.”

The 2,600-square-foot shop is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The scoop shop offers 48 rotating flavors, catering services, and convenient pickup and delivery through DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Postmates.
