PR Newswire
HARTFORD, Conn., Sept. 15, 2026
The largest privately owned mobility, transportation, and parking company in North America advances its “LAZ 3.0” strategy by investing in technology, growth, people, and the next generation of leadership, while expanding its Hartford headquarters.
HARTFORD, Conn., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — LAZ Parking, the largest privately owned, tech-enabled parking, transportation, and mobility company in North America, today announced a comprehensive growth and leadership strategy that includes the creation of more than 1,000 new jobs and career opportunities across North America within the next year, an expansion of its Hartford headquarters to accommodate more than 100 additional employees, and the launch of a nationally recognized Leadership Continuity Plan designed to position the company for decades of future growth.
As part of the initiative, which LAZ is calling LAZ 3.0, Tony DiPaolo and John Svendblad have been named Co-Chief Executive Officers, effective January 1, 2027. The announcement reflects a broader strategy focused on accelerating growth while ensuring continuity of leadership, culture, innovation, and client service excellence.
Rather than a traditional succession plan, LAZ has developed a leadership continuity model that combines the founders’ experience and stewardship with the energy and vision of the company’s next generation of leaders. The plan was developed over the past two years and is designed to preserve the culture, values, and stakeholder commitment that have defined LAZ for more than 45 years.
“While many companies focus on succession, we are focused on growth, continuity, and opportunity,” said Alan Lazowski, Chairman and CEO of LAZ Parking. “We expect to create more than 1,000 new jobs and opportunities across North America within the next year while expanding our Hartford headquarters and investing in the next generation of leadership. Our founders remain committed to the company, our people, and our clients, and this continuity plan ensures that the culture and values that built LAZ will continue to thrive for decades to come.”
National Recognition for Leadership Continuity
The LAZ Leadership Continuity Plan has earned recognition as a model for founder-led organizations seeking to build long-term stakeholder value while preserving culture and purpose.
“The Leadership Continuity Plan that the LAZ leadership team has developed over the past two years is a study and testament to Conscious Leadership and how purpose-led organizations build a lasting legacy of stakeholder capitalism,” said Timothy Henry, Chief Executive Officer of Conscious Capitalism. “By intentionally developing leaders from within, maintaining founder engagement, and prioritizing culture as a strategic asset, LAZ has created a model that other organizations can learn from as they think about stewardship, growth, and long-term impact.”
Expanding Opportunities Across North America
LAZ expects to create more than 1,000 new jobs and career advancement opportunities within the next year as it continues to expand throughout North America. Growth is expected across multiple business lines, including:
- Parking Management
- Transportation Services
- Mobility Hubs
- Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure
- Autonomous Vehicle Support Services
- Technology and Innovation
- Customer Experience Operations
- Business Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence
- Corporate and Field Leadership Roles
These investments will strengthen LAZ’s ability to serve clients while creating meaningful career opportunities for current and future employees.
Investing in Hartford and Connecticut’s Future
As part of its commitment to Connecticut, LAZ also announced plans to expand its Hartford headquarters to accommodate more than 100 new positions across technology, finance, human resources, operations, marketing, customer experience, data analytics, and strategic growth functions.
The expansion reinforces LAZ’s long-standing commitment to Hartford, where the company was founded and has maintained its headquarters for more than four decades.
“Hartford is where LAZ was built, where our culture was born, and where our future continues to be shaped,” said Lazowski. “As we expand throughout North America, we are equally committed to growing right here at home. This investment reflects our confidence in Hartford, our workforce, and the future of Connecticut.”
A New Role for the Founders
LAZ’s four founding partners, Alan Lazowski, Jeff Karp, Michael Harth, and Mike Kuziak, together with Chief Financial Officer Nathan Owen, will form a newly established Diamond Advisory Council (DAC). The DAC will provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and stewardship while supporting the next generation of leaders and serving as guardians of LAZ’s culture and key client relationships. All five leaders have committed to remain active in the business through 2032 and beyond.
Under the new structure:
- Alan Lazowski will transition from CEO to Executive Chairman while remaining Chairman of the Board.
- Jeff Karp will serve as Managing Partner, Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategic Initiatives.
- Michael Harth will serve as Managing Partner, People, Culture and Marketing.
- Mike Kuziak will serve as Managing Partner, Operations and Technology.
- Nathan Owen will serve as Managing Partner, Finance and Treasury.
Co-CEOs Built Within the Culture
A core principle of the LAZ continuity model is promoting leaders from within.
Tony DiPaolo joined LAZ in 2005 and currently serves as President of the Midwest. John Svendblad joined LAZ in 2008 and currently serves as President of the West Coast. Together, they bring more than four decades of leadership experience at LAZ and have helped drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence across the organization.
The Co-CEOs will be supported by an experienced executive team, including Eric Siskind as Chief Operating Officer, Steve Gresh as Chief Business Officer, and Jason Bendett as Chief Financial Officer, effective July 1, 2027. LAZ will also elevate 21 senior leaders as part of the continuity plan.
Looking Ahead
Building on more than 45 years of success, LAZ’s next chapter is already underway. The company is helping shape the future of mobility across North America by investing in mobility hubs, EV charging, autonomous vehicle support, artificial intelligence, digital commerce, and integrated transportation solutions.
With a nationally recognized leadership continuity plan, more than 1,000 new jobs anticipated in the coming year, and continued expansion from its Hartford headquarters, LAZ is positioning itself for decades of sustainable growth while remaining committed to its mission to create opportunities for employees and value for clients.
