El Poblado Investment Group today announced an expanded healthcare emphasis within El Poblado Fund III, the firm’s active raise targeting a Q4 close. While the fund focuses on healthcare, technology, and real estate/hospitality, healthcare has become an increasingly important pillar as Latin America’s medical systems, patient expectations, and private-care markets continue to evolve.

President Vicente Fox and former First Lady Marta Sahagún at Centro Fox in Mexico, where their work continues to advance leadership, education, and social impact across the region.

Across the region, healthcare is moving from episodic, location-based care toward more connected, consumer-oriented models. Telemedicine, remote patient engagement, online diagnostics, AI-enabled tools, and direct-to-consumer clinical pathways are helping patients access medical information, consultations, treatment options, and follow-up care with greater convenience, privacy, affordability, and continuity. These shifts are especially important for populations that may delay or avoid treatment because of stigma, cost, inconvenience, or limited access to trusted providers.

For El Poblado, this transition creates an opportunity to support healthcare companies that can scale responsibly while improving access and patient experience. The firm is especially focused on models that combine medical credibility, technology, efficient distribution, culturally relevant branding, and clear value for both patients and healthcare systems. El Poblado also sees Mexico as a highly attractive market for healthcare innovation given its population scale, proximity to the United States, growing private healthcare demand, expanding digital adoption, and need for more accessible care models.

“Healthcare is becoming one of the most important areas of opportunity in Latin America,” said Mason Mehta, Founder and General Partner of El Poblado Investment Group. “We are looking for companies that are not simply digitizing healthcare, but redesigning the patient experience around trust, access, privacy, and better outcomes. Omme is a strong example of that thesis.”

Spotlight Investment: Omme

El Poblado’s latest healthcare investment is Omme, a Mexico-based digital men’s health platform reimagining how men manage chronic health conditions. The company is initially focused on hair loss and erectile dysfunction, conditions that collectively affect more than 30 million men in Mexico.

Omme is built around a simple but important insight: healthcare often fails patients not because treatment is unavailable, but because the traditional system is not designed to keep patients engaged long enough for treatment to work. Physicians are compensated for consultations, regardless of outcomes. Pharmacies are paid when prescriptions are filled, regardless of whether patients remain adherent. Omme operates under a fundamentally different model.

Through prepaid six- and twelve-month medical programs, each patient is paired with a board-certified specialist from day one. Physician-led treatment protocols, AI-powered follow-up, continuous clinical support, and discreet home delivery are integrated into a single, structured experience designed around the patient, not the appointment.

Omme’s vision extends far beyond any single condition. The company is building the infrastructure for a new model of chronic men’s healthcare across Latin America, one in which business incentives are directly aligned with patient engagement, treatment adherence, and long-term outcomes.

“Men in Mexico are far more likely to search for a health solution online than to walk into a clinic. That gap is not about awareness. It is about trust, stigma, and a system that was never designed around them. Omme was built to close that gap, and to prove that when you align the incentives of a business with the outcomes of its patients, both things get better. We are grateful to have El Poblado as a partner who sees that same opportunity,” said Elías Rivas, Founder and CEO of Omme.

Healthcare Impact: Fundación Vamos México

El Poblado’s healthcare strategy also reflects a broader commitment to impact. In addition to supporting scalable healthcare businesses, the firm and its principals have historically supported Fundación Vamos México, specifically its CRISMA program (Centro de Rehabilitación Integral San Miguel de Allende), dedicated to improving access to healthcare and comprehensive rehabilitation services, including physical therapy, psychological care, hydrotherapy, speech and language therapy, nutrition, and other specialized services, for vulnerable communities in Mexico.

Fundación Vamos México, founded by President Vicente Fox and Marta Sahagún de Fox in 2001, supports vulnerable communities through healthcare, rehabilitation, nutrition, mobility, and social-development programs. Its impact includes 15,300 beneficiaries, 12,300 kilograms of nutritional products delivered across nine states, and, through CRISMA, more than 580 patients receiving over 2,100 therapy sessions each month, with a year-end goal of serving 800 patients.

CRISMA provides rehabilitation services to children and adults with physical and neurological disabilities. Based in historic San Miguel de Allende, CRISMA serves patients who often face significant financial barriers to care and provides critical rehabilitation services with a deeply humanitarian mission.

“El Poblado’s support of Fundación Vamos México reflects a meaningful commitment to health, dignity, and opportunity for the people of Mexico,” said President Vicente Fox. “Their engagement shows that investment in Latin America can go beyond capital formation and help strengthen the communities and institutions that improve people’s lives.”

“We welcome individuals, companies, family offices, foundations, and healthcare leaders who want to make a difference to join us in supporting Fundación Vamos México and CRISMA,” said Marta Sahagún de Fox, President of Fundación Vamos México. “There is an urgent need to expand access to rehabilitation and healthcare services for families most impacted by economic hardship. We invite supporters to visit beautiful San Miguel de Allende, experience the mission firsthand, and help us bring care, dignity, and hope to more people,” added Mehta.

You can support Fundación Vamos México by making a tax-deductible donation through the organization’s website at www.vamosmexico.org.mx.
