First, Micro Magic, Inc. announced the world’s fastest 64-bit RISC-V core achieving 5GHz and 13,000 CoreMarks at 1.1V. A single Micro Magic core running at 0.8V delivered 11,000 CoreMarks at 4.25GHz consuming only 200mW.
Next, Micro Magic, Inc. delivered the world’s highest performance/power 64-bit RISC-V core at 110,000 CoreMarks/Watt.
Then, Micro Magic, Inc. announced its Ultra Low power 64-bit RISC-V core consuming only 10mW at 1GHz, and less than 500mW at 5GHz.
Today, Micro Magic, Inc. is proud to announce availability of their high-performance low-power MagicV RISC-V processors in 1, 2, or 4 core configurations. Linux, Zephyr, and FreeRTOS all run on MagicV processors.
The combination of high-performance with ultra-low power makes the MagicV family of processors useful for a vast number of applications including, automotive, cell phones, rack mount servers, watches, and any applications that require the highest levels of performance with the lowest power.
“Customers are impressed with the performance of the MagicV family of processors,” said Mark Santoro, Micro Magic’s CEO. “But the ultra-low power really blows them away.”
“The extremely small die area and low cost, combined with the low voltage capabilities is a real game changer,” stated co-founder Lee Tavrow, Ph.D. MIT.
Availability
MagicV processors are available today with 1, 2, or 4 cores. Each core includes a high-performance hardware FPU. Performance data provided is for 16nm with more advanced technology nodes available.
