WordPress plugin instantly supports subscription and à-la-carte payments, plus free trial or engagement credits, in a single paywall.
GULF BREEZE, FL, UNITED STATES, October 27, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Publishers can now seamlessly sell articles, videos, music, downloads, games, and even comments à la carte—starting as low as 1¢, with no upper limit—using the new, patented Qix Credits API developed by Qixit (Qix Information Technologies LLC), based in Florida.
Perhaps even more importantly, publishers and advertisers can increase engagement with small payouts for viewing ads, engaging with sponsors, or completing any other incentivized task.
First adopters can immediately implement these new processes using the just released 2WayMicropay plugin for WordPress sites. Features include:
* Flexible access limits: pay once forever, limited hours, session only, pay-per-view.
* Value flows both ways: payout links, free trial credits, and rewards for engagement.
* A/B price testing: price optimization metrics for maximizing revenue based on real traffic by page, categories, and website.
* Automatic revenue sharing: commissions instantly paid to creators and referral sources.
* Subscription paywall enhancements: simultaneous offers of subscription or pay-per view with site restricted trial credits for first time readers.
* Individual or global settings: price and access limits can be instantly applied to single links, categories, or all posts.
* New revenue streams: charge for posting of comments, or guest authored content.
* Outstanding data: customer engagement, conversion rates, price optimization.
“Previous micropay solutions have all failed because they required consumers to take the risk of prefunding their micropay accounts, which is just as off-putting as being asked to commit to a subscription,” said David Reardon, founder and CEO of Qixit (pronounced Kicks-It). “2WayMicropay removes risk, increases engagement, and gives consumers more for less.”
Publishers have traditionally had only three options: give content away, embed more advertising, or ask readers to commit to a subscription. Pay-per-view has been impractical given the friction and minimum cost (30¢ or more) of credit card transactions.
“Most internet content is properly priced under fifty cents per view,” said Reardon. “But prior to now, there was no way for content creators to collect small payments, much less run A/B tests to identify the best price for their audience. We offer a solution to those problems.”
Although the WordPress plugin is the most accessible public demonstration of the platform, 2WayMicropay hyperlinks can be implemented on any website.
Qixit provides vendor credentials and a developer API that custom websites and applications can use to automate product creation, purchase links, payout links, access rules, revenue sharing and related payment or reward workflows.
Qixit is inviting publishers to participate in a 60-day pilot program to test reader response to a small set of premium pay-per-view links attractively priced between 10 and 50 cents per view.
