Gamified Basketball Training Brand Reaches Eight International Locations, Expansion Underway in Asia, Canada and Europe
VANCOUVER, Wash., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Shoot 360, the leader in technology-powered basketball training, has opened its newest location in Manila, Philippines, marking a milestone debut as the company brings its gamified training platform to communities around the world. The opening September 17, 2026 in Quezon City follows the brand’s continued momentum in international markets, where franchisees and athletes are embracing data-driven training and new approaches to player development.
Shoot 360 now has eight international locations across five countries, including Canada, Republic of Georgia, Japan, the Philippines and Taiwan. The global growth reflects growing interest from franchise partners and basketball communities seeking a more measurable approach to training, while creating a foundation for continued development in established and emerging basketball markets.
“Opening our eighth international location is an exciting milestone, but what’s most encouraging is the range of markets we’re seeing interest in the Shoot 360 model,” said Craig Moody, Founder and President of Shoot 360. “Athletes and basketball communities around the world are looking for new ways to train, compete and measure their progress. As we continue to grow globally, we’re focused on working with the right partners for expansion.”
Building a Growing Presence in Asia
Asia represents a significant opportunity for Shoot 360, with the brand’s Asia master franchisee leading expansion across the region. Following the opening in Manila, Japan and the Philippines are each expected to welcome at least two additional locations within the next year. Hong Kong, Indonesia and Thailand are among the markets being targeted for future development. Shoot 360 has a goal of 200 locations open or in development across Asia by 2030.
The region’s strong basketball culture, combined with its interest in technology and analytics, has created a natural fit for Shoot 360’s training model. The Taipei location has nearly 1,350 members, with adults accounting for about 40% of its membership. Adult memberships are growing in the U.S. across Shoot 360 with the platform creating more opportunities continuously.
Based in Taipei, Shoot 360 Asia was an obvious choice given CEO Sean Cheng’s basketball background. Cheng founded and operated the academy before opening Shoot 360 in Taipei. He works alongside Chairman Richard Chang, the first Asian American to receive an NCAA Division I basketball scholarship, who has more than 30 years of experience helping Costco Wholesale establish and grow its presence across Asia. Together, they are expanding opportunities for young players and future leaders of the game.
“From opening our first Shoot 360 in Taiwan, to expanding into Japan and now Manila, we’re seeing a great franchise model taking shape around something much bigger than just basketball training,” said Cheng. “We’re building an entire basketball community around cutting-edge technology and world-class coaching – connecting young players chasing their dreams, adults coming back to the game, and families who simply love basketball. With exciting development opportunities now progressing in China, Indonesia, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand, we believe we are only beginning to see the potential for Shoot 360 across Asia.”
Continued Development Across Canada and Beyond
Canada has also become an important part of Shoot 360’s international footprint, with four locations now open in Calgary, Edmonton, Regina and Toronto. Shoot 360 Canada, led by Fadi Smaidi, has also become an integral part of the international expansion of Shoot 360. The brand has additional locations in the pipeline, including a future facility in Markham, Ontario.
Beyond its established locations, Shoot 360 is seeing significant interest from prospective franchise partners in Australia, New Zealand, Western Europe, and the Middle East. Basketball’s popularity in these regions is creating opportunities for the brand to expand.
